Print button doesn't work in ReportServer 2005
print button, I got a message asking me to install SQL Server? I said
yes, then after a few minutes I got a print error.
Now, every time I click the print button on the RS toolbar, I get this
message:
Print Error
An error occured trying to get the current window.
Besides the fact that occurred is spelled wrong, why is this error
happening? I tried deleting all RSClient* files from \Windows\Downloaded
Program Files, but that doesn't help.
How do I fix this?
TIA,
Mike RodriguezCan you try deleting the ActiveX control via IE.
Go to Tools->Internet Options
Click the Settings button
Click the View Objects button.
Delete the RSClientPrint control
I would also clear out my internet cache to make sure you are getting the
latest cab file.

winforms app or are your going to the ReportServer through IE?
If it is in a hosted win forms then this is expected and the print
functionality is not supported there.

What can I do?

Print Button - ActiveX Installation
How can I deploy the ActiveX to the workstations?
The users don't have administrative privileges, I want to install the active
X control before they click the print button.
Is there a way to download the files of instalation and run some setup?
ThanksRS doesn't supply any mechanism for doing this. What you could do is look
for the rsclientprint.cab file and extract its information. Then copy it to
the users "WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files" folder. This should allow the
users the ability to use the control without downloading it. Of course you
would need to do all the maintenance for updating the control if it every
changes.

I can't copy the extract files of rsclientprint.cab to "WINDOWS\Downloaded
Program Files", it doesn't work. This folder looks as read only.
Thank you for your response,

Print blank pages after change server
I have a Seagate Info 7 server on NT4, recently I migrate the it to a new server running on NT4. I install a new SI7 in the new server and then copy the old SI7 database and reports to the new server. After that I change the APS name to a new name using the utility in SI7.
All work well, except the printing. A blank page come out after each print for all the old report that I have created. But new report is OK.
Can some please help me! Thanks a lotOpen the Old Reports and Do verify Database

Primary Keys with Transactional Replication
environment using the test databases delivered during the sql install
(northwind and pubs).
I noticed that when I would setup Transactional Replicational (NON –
updateable subscriber) that the primary keys would NOT come over with tables
to the subscriber. But, if I set up Transactional Replication with
Updateable Subscriber, the primary keys would come over with the tables on
the subscriber. Am I missing something here? Or, is this indeed how it
works?
Hi Janet,
As Paul mentioned, transactional replication typically (or traditionally)
replicates the primary key as just a unique index. Assuming that you are
using a SQL2000 publisher, you can enable the 0x8000 (PKUKAsContraints)
article schema option so primary key will be replicated as primary key. The
behavior that you saw for updateable subscriber was our attempt to
"out-smart" the user as updateable subscriptions requires primary key
constraint (not just the index) at the subscriber to work properly.

Primary filegroup is full.
Windows 2000 Server. When attempting to add new records, I receive
the message "Could not allocate space for object 'MyTable' in database
'MyDatabase' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full."
I have dealt with countless issues like this in the past and they have
been easily resolved due to max limit of MSDE, trans log full, or the
hard drive where the database is stored is full. None of these appear
to be the case in this instance. The system has been working fine for
about a year.
The Master database is 11 MB. MyDatabase is 33 MB. The log files are
both under 1 MB. I have 730 MB of storage available on the drive
where the database is stored.
I downloaded MSDE off of Microsoft's website and installed with the
following switches: BLANKSAPWD=1 SECURITYMODE=SQL. I create a user
in MSDE that is the DBO for MyDatabase. Other than that, I make no
changes to the default installation.Giadis (lonewolf3557@.hotmail.com) writes:

Have you verified with sp_helpdb that the database has "Unlimited" in
maxsize and 10% in Growth? These are values in the second result set.

Can you go to Add/Remove Programs and let us know if you have any entries for SQL Server 2005 (including Native Client)? Do you have any other SQL Server entries in ARP?
Also, what version are you trying to install?
Thanks,
